Whether you’re re-using a modem from your previous NBN provider or have purchased one from your local computer store, most NBN-compatible modems will work with Uniden Voice NBN. However, there are a few important exceptions and compatibility notes, which we’ll explain below.
Most modems are capable of supporting speeds up to 300Mbps over Wi-Fi and up to 600Mbps via Ethernet. However, your actual speeds may vary based on several factors, including your internet plan, modem capabilities, and overall network traffic.
To ensure optimal performance on our NBN business plans, your modem must meet the following technical requirements:
Use Ethernet cables to connect key devices whenever possible, as this provides the most stable connection.
Consider a Mesh Wi-Fi system to improve wireless coverage, especially in larger properties.
Important:
Using an older modem without Gigabit Ethernet ports or Wi-Fi 6 support may limit your connection speeds. For the best possible experience, we recommend using wired (Ethernet) connections over Wi-Fi whenever feasible.
*Amazon eero Pro 6 and eero 6 devices running eeroOS 6.6.1+ and mobile app versions 6.13.0+ may be capable of PPPoE connections with VLAN tagging, however this device has not yet been tested by our team. Please contact Amazon Support for help.
