¶ TP-Link Deco – Switch from DSL to Router Mode
The below instructions will guide you on transitioning your TP-Link Deco Modem/Router from DSL mode to Router Mode. This is useful for transitioning from a FTTN service, to other nbn technologies such as FTTP, FTTC, HFC or SkyMuster which utilise Ethernet WAN instead of DSL technologies.
- Disconnect the telephone cable from the DSL port on the Deco Modem/Router.
- Open the Deco app on your smartphone or tablet.
Make sure your device is connected to the Deco Wi-Fi network. - Navigate to the “More” section.
- Select Advanced from the menu.
- Select “Operation Mode” from the menu.
- Select “Wi-Fi Router” from the modes list.
Once Wi-Fi Router mode has been selected, Tap Apply
The app will indicate to reboot the Deco system, tap OK, and the Deco will reboot.
- Whilst the Deco reboots, connect the Ethernet port labelled “1” to the UNI-D Port on the nbn NTD.
Please note: Check your activation email for which UNI-D port your service has been activated on.
